Founding Principal
Lorry Lynn has extensive experience in consulting and management spanning more than 15
years. From 1990 to 1999, Ms. Lynn consulted on real estate matters and was a Principal who
managed the Orange County Real Estate Consulting Division of the Meyers Group. Although
based in Orange County and specializing in Southern California, Ms. Lynn conducted analyses
throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Ms. Lynn has consulted on a broad spectrum of residential and commercial properties including:
rental apartments; condominiums; single family dwellings; master planned communities and
resorts; in-fill developments; active adult and senior housing projects; public housing projects;
hotel; retail; office; and industrial developments. She was the first Principal in the Meyers Group
to establish retainer relationships with the largest public and private homebuilders in the country.
Ms. Lynn has been a frequent speaker throughout the industry and has written articles for many
regional and national home building publications. She has been quoted in the Wall Street
Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register and San Diego Tribune. She has been
a member of the Building Industry Association, Urban Land Institute and National Sales and
Marketing Council.
In 1999, Ms. Lynn was recruited by the CEO and Investors of Meyers Group to turn-around the
data quality and technological challenges facing the national expansion of their proprietary real
estate data software products. As Vice President of Research, Ms. Lynn spearheaded new data
gathering methodologies and technologies that were leveraged in approximately 75 of the top
housing markets in the United States. By designing a new organizational structure for local,
regional and national control with qualitative and quantitative checks and balances; hiring
experienced professionals and developing a rigorous training program; and working closely with
the IT team to identify technical issues, Ms. Lynn was able to re-establish Meyers Group as the
premier provider of national real estate information.
With a successful turn-around in data management, Ms. Lynn was promoted to President of
Meyers Group in 2000. Following an investor’s immediate exit as a result of 9/11 and the dot
com bubble, Ms. Lynn led the company through a difficult downsizing and restructuring. She
made immediate adjustments to operations to successfully re-establish positive cash flow, rapid
revenue growth and high margin profitability. Ms. Lynn directed the Accounting, Human
Resources, Technology, and Research departments in addition to filling temporary Vice
Presidents roles in Product Development, Sales and Marketing, and Consulting for four years.
During her tenure as President, the company successfully expanded product offerings in four
states, targeted a new customer segment with new product, and redesigned the technological
platform utilized for data management. Between 2000 and 2004 when the company sold, revenue
had doubled and profit margins exceeded 15% each year.
In 2004, Meyers Group was successfully sold to Hanely Wood, the premier business-to-business
media network serving North America's residential and commercial construction industries. The
strong performance of the company’s operations resulted in a sale which exceeded investors
anticipated price by more than 40%. Ms. Lynn became Chief Operating Officer for Hanley
Wood Market Intelligence, formerly Meyers Group, and led the company through a six month
acquisition transition included the hiring and training of three new Vice Presidents, the
consolidation of accounting and technology, the launch and marketing of a new product; and, the
rebranding and repositioning of the new division.
In 2005, Ms. Lynn decided to apply her experience to advise others in the real estate residential
industry. Her experiences in market trend analysis; business process improvement; business and
product viability assessment; and, the planning and launch of new initiatives provide companies
a qualified perspective on complex research and operating issues. Specifically, MSA works with
builders and developers on project and community development research as well as research
related to division and company-wide strategic initiatives.
